| After a few weeks
of driving my
new-to-me AR230 I
had almost gotten
used to steering
without any type of
rudder. But I
certainly cannot
say that about my
wife or friends. If
you want to ever be
pulled behind, or
have someone else
drive your boat,
you really should
get the Cobra Fins.
They make your boat
much more
maneuverable and
easier to drive for
everyone.
I am much more
comfortable letting
someone else drive
with the fins
installed.
Well worth the
small investment.

| Thanks Jeff.
You have saved my
boat and possibly
my marriage. The
first time I took
our new (used)
SR230 for a ride I
knew that my wife
was going to have a
major problem with
the steering. I was
unhappy with not
only the slow speed
wandering but also
the tendency to
slip back and forth
at high speed.
Before I even let
my wife drive I
ordered and
installed your
Cobra Steering. She
loves the way the
boat handles and
has no problem
getting it into and
out of our slip. I
still have not told
her that it has
Cobra Steering.
Hope she doesn’t
read this post.
Thanks a million…

| Your Cobrajet fins
are outstanding. I
figured that if
they were half as
good as the info in
the testimonials, I
would be pleased.
Delivery was quick,
and they took me
about 40 minutes to
install. Counting
myself, there are
three primary
drivers on the boat
and we all noticed
the difference
immediately. Slow
speed
maneuverability was
dramatically
improved, as was
reverse handling.
It is now very easy
to negotiate tight
marinas. I am an
avid skier and the
turning ability at
high speeds is also
much, much
better.
I agree that these
should be standard
equipment on jet
boats. I am sorry
I waited three
months to get
them!
Thanks! |

| Jeff, I installed
the CobraJet
Steering fins last
week and tested
them this week. I
cannot tell you how
pleased we are with
the performance.
Slow speed handling
is great.
Maneuvering marina
traffic is much
easier.
Installation was
easy following your
directions. It took
about 30 minutes.
Finally you have
great customer
service. Fast
shipping and follow
up on order. You
have a great idea
here.
Thanks

| Hey Jeff, I finally
had some time off
and install the
fins on my exciter,
Now how it handled
reverse was greatly
100 times improved.
At idle speed, it
too improved, no
longer do I have to
give it a burst or
used the throttles
to steer.
High speed handling
improve also, it
seems to track
better and be more
responsive to
steering input.
Overall I'm happy
with the steering
system it improved
the safety and
handling of my
exciter:D

| Man talk about
great service!
Ordered on
Thursday, arrived
on Saturday. I may
have prematurely
tested em out, I
only waited about 5
hours between
installing and
hitting the lake.
Hope the Lock Tight
stuck around.
I could definately
tell a difference
in the slow speed
handling
characteristics.
Getting back on the
trailer was so much
easier. I also
added side bunks
today, so that
helped too.
However, it was
definately the fins
that helped keep me
straight to the
trailer. And that's
in 15-20 mph winds
today.
Great job Jeff, you
deserve every penny
you make on these
things!

Fri May 26, 2006 19:51:28 Jerry Cupp Boat~ 2006 Yamaha SX230 HO

| Got this boat
middle of April
after 17 yrs with a
sterndrive I/O.
Had it out a half a
dozen times when
new and found the
steering to be
absolutely tricky!
It has twin jets
that are not
responsive at slow
speed, you have to
gas it to turn the
nose! That is the
last thing I felt
comfortable with~ a
new boat and
docking or
trailering it.
Wife and I were
getting better each
time but it still
was not fun around
traffic or windy
conditions. At
slow speed the boat
has a tendacy to
oversteer and the
nose just snakes
it's way back and
forth. Reverse was
barely manuverable!
You could back up,
but I never could
really control the
way it was going to
go. I installed
the CobraJet
Steering
"Fins" a
week ago. Took an
hour because I'm
slow and careful.
Installation was a
breeze, very easy!!
Results were...in
a word,
Outstanding!! The
handling difference
is night and day!
The boat will track
steady at slow
speed as if on a
string. It doesn't
oversteer anymore
and will go right
where you point it.
The best aspect of
the change, for me,
is the handling in
reverse! The boat
will back up and
actually go, Where
I need it to go!
It handles better
in reverse than my
I/O. I can back up
with confidence and
steer it around
objects, usually
other boats at the
ramp. It seems the
"Fins"
channel the water
while in reverse
and improves the
steering immensely.
I consider the
CobraJet steering a
"Must
Have" for a
jet boater. These
things should be
offered by the Jet
Boat Industry as
standard equipment,
or at least an
option! The
"Fins" as
they say are,
"A win-win
situation".
There is no
downside in having
them, and the cost
is small
considering the
phenominal
responsiveness of
the boat! You need

| Thank you Jeff. I
went to the Lower
Colorado River on
May 17th and the
18th. It was my
first time on the
river and the fins
worked great.
Running the boat in
the "No Wake
Zone" was a
snap, and even
control in reverse.
On and off the
trailer was easy.
Was able to hold a
nice line
at idle and drive
it right up on the
trailer. High speed
was also improved.
Nice (very) tight
turns. No
unexpected
spins.
The better half was
in the boat. Next
time....
Again thank you for
a great
product..... |

| I purchased the 230
HO SX last year
and really loved
the boat. I did
not have to worry
about a prop with
small children
around. Only
problem ,like
everyone else has
mentioned, is
turning. It will
not turning at very
low speed and in
reverse. I suck
when it comes to
doing any type of
modifications but
this was real easy.
I clamped
everything down and
went to work. 40
min later I was
done. I took the
boat to the river
this last weekend
and it handled
better than a prop
boat in my view.
The ease at turning
at low speads,
especially when
putting the boat
back on the trailer
was a snap. In
reverse it actually
turned where before
it would not do
that unless you
gave it a lot of
thrust. Thanks
Jeff and I will
recommend this to
everyone I meet
that has a boat
like mine.
