Yamaha SR 230 (2003)

After three and a half years of boating we kinda got used to the poor slowhandling of our Yamaha. Even my wife was able to handle it without looking like a total beginner. When I heard about Jeff's invention, I didn't think twice before ordering it. The installation was really easy, and the improvement in handling is tremendeous. Without Cobra Steering on idle I would constantly fight the boat to stay in a straight line, doing 3.3 mph measured by GPS. With Cobra Steering installed the boat keeps a straight line without much effort from the captain and moves along with 4.1 mph. At high speed without Cobra Steering I had to wrestle with the steering wheel against cross wind and waves, while with Cobra Steering installed the boat moves in any direction with little effort and small inputs at the helm. Jeff's invention made an already good boat a great boat and a much more enjoyable experience to be out on the water (off the coast of Southern California). The best money spent to improve a jet boat. Thanks Jeff.

Yamaha SX210

I purchased a new Yamaha SX210 about a month ago. We love the boat and feel it is a great product, but it became apparent that there were a few faults. The boat had very little steering at low speed and I do mean very little. Reverse was also questionable. We boat on the Georgia coast so tide, current and wind can create tricky docking and trailer loading problems. My wife refused to drive the boat due to the lack of low speed handling. She would have never tried docking. I was leary at first, but decided to spend the money and purchase the Cobra Steering. I had to do something. The wife was not very happy. This is an excellant product. It does everything Jeff says it will and more. Low speed steering and reverse are a 1000% better. I have no problems with the docks or trailers now. My wife will even drive it now. The installation of the product is simple. Jeff has done a great job with the product and simple directions !!! If your not a handy man don't worry installation is a snap. The installation took me just under an hour (perfectionist). If you have a Jet boat these are a must. I highly recommend this product, Thanks Jeff !

I now have a full season's experience with Cobra Jet Steering and can say that it's the single best modification I've ever made to our boat! Lining up to the dock is precise and maneuvering through traffic at no wake speeds is nearly stress free (I can still do 360's too). For my application I had to send Jeff my nozzle for proper fittment. Despite that, the nozzle was freshly painted and back in my hands with the fins already installed 4 days from when the nozzle left my hands. Outstanding job Jeff!!

Paid for my Cobra Fins on a recent Wednesday, got them that Friday! Excellent! Just in time for the weekend.
Intalled the fins in about a half-hour that night and then went out into the Gulf of Mexico for some fishing the next morning. Noticed immediatly that slow speed steering was GREATLY improved at no wake speed. Coming back from fishing, with seas at a light chop, I was at almost full throttle (45mph GPS). I was able to take my hands off the wheel and she kept going nice and straight with minimal adjustments.
High speed steering is just as nimble as before and she still spins real nice. Thanks Jeff!!!

Jeff

Just spent the last week up at Lake Tahoe after installing Cobra Jet Steering on my Yamaha SX@230HO jet boat. Huge difference at all speeds, especially slow speeds. The set up was easy and the results are huge.

Thanks,

Bill Pace

The installation took 20 minutes total. Everything fit perfectly using the recommended size drill bits and all the hardware (screws & washers) that were packaged with the kits. The best part of it all is that they worked as great as they look. The easiest bolt-on performance part that actually makes a difference!

The cobra jet fins are a great! They are easy to install and make a huge difference at fast and most importantly slow speeds. They will give you the control that you need. Yamaha should install these on all their boats. Jeff is great to work with and will go out of his way to make sure you are taken care of. Great Product!!!

Jeff and his product deserve a hats off standing ovation. I was skeptical, I'll admit. I installed my Cobra Fins this weekend and they were an amazing inprovement! I backed into 2 slips this weekend like I had owned this Yamaha SX230 HO for a year. It was my 3rd time on the water! Reverse and the "no wake mode" are dramitacally improved. I recommend this improvement option to all new jet boat owners.

Hey Jeff and Everyone,

The jet fins rock. I just put them on my Yami 230HO. I debated getting them because I thought it was a gimmick that sells to people who can't drive their boat. After my usual hemming and hawing I decided to give them a try. They went on very easy. Bingo!! Now my steering is way better. More responsive, less of a problem oversteering. Better at both fast and slow speeds. In fact if you are a safety oriented person, it would be wrong not to buy these. Anyhow you all get the message. Yamaha would have been smart to instead of developing that retarded "no wake" mode to buy the fins for their boats. Cheers to everyone

Yamaha SX230 Jetboat

Cobra Jet Steering has the been the single best MOD that anyone can put on a jetboat! This boat actually handles better than my old sterndrive runabout.

Truth be told...without these steering fins, there was a good chance that I would have traded the boat. And while the truth is coming out...my wife said you are her favorite person in the whole world for inventing these fins! She (and I) had panic attacks at the very thought of loading the boat on the trailer or moving through a crowded cove prior to installing the Cobra Jet Steering system.

Jeff...thanks a million!!!!
