2010 Yamaha SX240 Twin Jet Boat

The boat ramp I use is extremely active with 2-3 trailers on it at any given time. It is also steeper than normal, in an area with fairly heavy wake, and is perpetually blown by a stiff 10-15 mph breeze. Needless to say, trailering my jet boat was like trying to steer a dinner plate on ice. Even with steel guide-on posts, the left to right movement of the boat made it ridiculously difficult to line up and hold the line, and on a couple of occasions actually flattened the posts.

I installed the fins Saturday morning in less than an hour and then hit the lake. The difference in control and steering at slow speed is remarkable. Trailered the boat like it had wheels, first approach. Lined up beautifully and held the line dead center onto the bunk boards. These fins are a fantastic add-on for Yamaha jet boats.

Fins are on and the boat handles great!! Thanks Jeff, you saved the day as far as my wife and I are concerned, no more over steer at slow speed, wife even loaded it on the trailer in 20 mph. cross wind in one shot!!

I too had a miserable time docking or re-trailering my 21 foot twin jet boat without the cobra system. Jeff shipped me a set quickly and now its like night and day at slow or fast speeds.
I would recomend these to anyone with a jet drive system.

Purchased new SX210 in May 2010. I had a 20 Ft open bow Rinker for 12 years that had seen beter days.

Fist trip on the lake I almost crashed into a pier 5 mins into the maiden voyage--it was like steering on ice with bald tires.

I installed the cobrafins and it it very close to the same steering as an outdrive boat---its a no brainer---a must have for a jet boat regardless of cost.

I just purchased a Yamaha Twin Engine Jet boat which I was having difficulty steering back onto the trailer..I have since brought a set of fins, which have made the difference between night and day. The fins were well worth the money.

Money well spent. There is no way to describe the difference after installing Cobra Jet Fins other than WOW. Thanks Jeff!

I love jet drives over props for many reasons even without cobra jet steering BUT… … Installed at beginning of 2009 season. What a difference! Less problems with cross winds when docking. All together better handling when maneuvering around docks. Better tracking when crossing a wake at an angle, or in waves. Installation simple. Whish I had these the last four years. Dual jet drives are better for handling than a single drive, but these should come stock from the factory. I’m usually skeptical of most “performance enhancing” products. These are amazing! Thanks for creating them.

OMG the difference! My husband and I recently bought a jet boat. We had several crashes at the marina where we docked the boat. I found the cobra steering fins. I mailed my nozzle to Jeff for my installation. He got it back to me the same day. FEDEX. The fins really work. I feel so much better. I was so afraid to launch the boat. Now, with the fins, my fear is gone. I highly recommend the fins for anyone with a jet boat. It really increases the safety.

The Cobra fins are simply a lifesaver. Without them my boat was very difficult to control at low speeds. So much so that I had entertained getting rid of it. However, I found these fins on line and gave it a try. We loved the boat just not the steering. I put the fins on immediately after arrival. Easy to install. My boat handles like a dream. I highly recommend the Yamaha series of boats, but only with the CobraFins. They should be a standard feature on every Yamaha jet boat.
